Visit to Archive

A hand holding old photos.

Holborn Archive was our destination on a cold November Friday the 17th – and accompanied by none other than Malcolm Holmes, archivist and author of Somers Town and other, and an expert on the St Pancras Housing Society Archive as well as Sue Crockford, whose film Somers Town, best represents the slum clearance and housing movement.

What a treat! Malcolm laid out much interesting material – we learnt the festival had been a 3-day affair, newspapers reported on The Pub pram race, and more…to help research our fiim project Spirit!.

And some great findings there – photos as well as a treasure trove of news papers and newsletters…

Go!
