A museum for Somers Town, that is. We asked four groups what they would ‘put into’ a museum – the answers varied from boxing, social and slum, literary histories, to an elegant drawing together of reformers through the ages, with one or two murders and hauntings thrown in – proving that Somers Town has a rich and fascinating heritage, both high art and low culture. Here’s some photos – and a family reunion, a donation and someone recognised their own relatives in a ‘Housing Happenings’ from the 1930s.
Our next pop up museum event will be on 9th of March at the Living Centre on a Saturday afternoon – with art, film, a walk and activities. Watch this space for more.
