Saturday’s Bayes event was one of our most well- attended – a great success. With the filmmaker present to talk about and show a film of the life of the artist who transformed Somers Town, we pieced together the tale of ‘what happened’ to the finials – stolen, damaged and neglected. It felt, as one person said, like a very focused public meeting. But one with a guided walk and an art workshop where we made mini Bayes finials in clay – a ship, a fish and more.
You can see these drying now in the Living Centre – it was also fun.
EXTRA! Next Saturday we have a Ceramics follow up but book soon as places limited. 1-3pm. ALSO a guided Walk at 12.30. from Living Centre start
Here for your enjoyment is the film:

Thanks to Tom Tremayne Filmmaker, Steve McCarthy for the walk and George who opened gates! Donna Turnbull for display. Malcolm Holmes for contribution and knowledge.
