Last Week of the Pop Up Museum

What a month! in the last week of August we wrapped up our Pop Up Museum tour with two days of appearances.

On Thurday we went to Granary Square near King’s Cross and heard from passers by about Somers Town and the railway lands before the new developments. We then moved on to St Pancras Gardens before finishing the day by getting soaked outside Kokos!

Our final day was spent once again at the Friday market on Chalton Street before a visit to see Extinction Rebellion in Euston Square Gardens. We finished the week with drinks and an amazing drum performance by Nkabom group.

Thank you to everyone who came along this summer to tell us their stories about Somers Town and give their views. We want to make sure that a History Space is truly representative of Somers Town and its rich and diverse history and that wouldn’t be possible without your participation. We hope to see you very soon at further events – watch this space!
