  1. Dear People’s museum organisers, please consider to offer lower price to the people in low/no income for the walks to the sites of local radical history. £18 to join a walk is equivalent to the amount spent on weekly food shopping for considerable number of people in Camden. Thank you in advance.

  2. Dear Jan,

I apologise if this was not clear – we offer walks FREE or low cost (donation) to local low income people and we always have.
I will make sure the organisers will add this to the website. This is purely an administrative error.
It should be on all Eventbrite tickets as a ‘Donation’ alternative which means ‘what you can afford’.

We realise, as you point out rightly, there must be a low income offer.

We have always been our proud to do so – and we are only now charging for the first time.
We have until now offered all walks free but in fact the people who benefitted tended to be middle class people.
The LFA suggested this is the standard price that their audience is prepared to pay.

But we will continue to offer an option of ‘what you can afford’ for all walks/ publications, which we give away to the local people.

    Thank you,
Please feel free to write in order to have a low cost ticket.

We have now added a Donation – low income option on the Eventbrite to the paid for walks.
Note the Friday lates are Free; and the lunch walks are £5.
    Thanks!
    Diana
