A big thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us on Saturday 13th May.
Artist and poet Robert Montgomery led a workshop at the museum, where locals and poetry enthusiasts brainstormed lines of poetry inspired by Somers Town and its history. Words from the workshop will be used to create a light art installation on Chalton Street to draw people into the area and celebrate our heritage, funded by the Euston Town BID.

Later at our anniversary party – we are one! – we enjoyed locally cooked delicious Asian food and drinks, had performances of spoken word poetry on the parklet , as well as music by Tina Swausey of Oh!gunquit. We caught up with familiar faces. It was lovely to see so many of our supporters turn out to celebrate the first year of the museum, and all the hard work and successes that have gone along with it. Here’s to the next year.
