Bringing to life lost art

A screen with a ceramic shown on it.

The People’s Museum Somers Town is bringing to life in 3D form the ‘lost art’ of St Pancras Housing.

Using a virtual technology we will bring to life the missing ceramic ‘finial’ artworks that are presumed stolen – up to 160 taken from the housing drying posts to add a vital visualisation to our upcoming Heritage Trail – Untold Stories tells the story of this art. Here’s the route and at points you will be able to use your mobile to access 3D images and stories.

We are working with CSM students Fine art tutor Elizabeth Wright to create these.

Shown below is a video of the 3D images.
