With a grant from the Mayor of London’s Untold Stories programme, Art in Everyday Life preserves and re-imagines working class heritage whilst uplifting voices of the community at risk of being forgotten.

GLA Diversity in the Public Realm

Our project to preserve important working class artworks has been selected for the GLA news Untold Stories, a Diversity in the Public realm initiative: Art in everyday life.

The Art in Everyday Life project focuses on the missing ceramic figures (finials), originally created as posts for washing lines across the estate, which had tragically disappeared.

With the help of Art in Everyday Life, this lost art is being brought to life through artificial reality (AR), using digital renders of the lost finials, helping the museum bring this lost heritage back to residents living in Somers Town today.”
