Bringing back lost art

We made clay tiles in a great workshop on Thursday making tiles based on artist Gilbert Bayes’ work for St Pancras Housing. Gilbert Bayes created ‘finials’ for drying posts used for hanging washing…but over 160 have gone missing. The results will be fired and brought back to the museum for a display.
